BIO
The inception of The Fontanas traces back to a serendipitous reunion between guitarist Keith Scott and songwriter-saxophonist Mark Holden in 2001. Their paths crossed once more through mutual acquaintances at a dinner gathering in their native Vancouver, BC, Canada. Amidst the evening's camaraderie, Keith and Mark discovered their shared affection for the iconic 1960s Californian music scene—especially the guitar-driven, surf-influenced sounds reminiscent of legends like The Ventures, Dick Dale, and The Surfaris.
